It's been a bit of a weird offseason for the Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney.
Usually a major player in the trade market and/or free agency, Sweeney has been pretty quiet so far.
He added forward Craig Smith while letting defenseman Torey Krug walk to free agency and there's still lots of question marks regarding captain Zdeno Chara.
Chara is an unrestricted free agent and as of right now it doesn't seem like there's a deal coming anytime soon.
The big man's agent has already publicly stated that they've received lots of positive interest from other teams around the league.
However according to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the captain is talking to other teams but likely not going anywhere.
I still have to think he ends up in Boston, but twice now his agent Matt Keator has responded to me that they are looking at all their options. So it's interesting to say the least, Simmer.
