The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney have a couple of contracts to deal with.
Of course the one that's been the biggest topic of conversation is defenseman Torey Krug who's eligible for unrestricted free agency.
However they do have another pretty significant contract to deal with and that's restricted free agent Jake DeBrusk.
While Krug's next contract doesn't really depend on his playoff performance, DeBrusk could earn a huge pay bump or a smaller one depending on his playoff performance.
Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston believes DeBrusk will be looking at a deal similar to what Brock Boeser got in Vancouver and Travis Konecny in Philly.
Both those players make just under $6million a season and that's why Haggerty believes DeBrusk will be looking at an AAV of around $5million.
The 23 year old has been consistent and after scoring 27 goals in 68 games last year, DeBrusk registered 19 goals in 65 games this year and would have definitely broken the 20 goal mark had the season completed.
Now the big difference between Boeser and Konecny is that Boeser signed only a three year contract while Konecny signed a six year deal.
Would you be willing to sign DeBrusk to something around $5million AAV.
