The Boston Bruins decided to take a gamble and let Torey Krug walk to free agency.

There's a chance that captain Zdeno Chara might do the same thing.

General manager Don Sweeney made sure to give Matt Grzelcyk a nice new deal to at least have a bandaid for the left side of the blueline.

Whether or not Chara will be back has sparked lots of debate and his agent even confirmed he's spoken to other teams which forced Sweeney to address the situation.

While speaking to the media Sweeney basically put everything on Chara's lap.

“We’re waiting for him to initiate what he’d like to do moving forward,” Sweeney said. “I feel very comfortable allowing that to take the necessary time and let Zdeno make his own decision along that route.”

What do you think of Sweeney's comments?
