The Boston Bruins shut out the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 on Friday night with the regular theme of the first line doing most of the production.

Patrice Bergeron registered two goals while Brandon Carlo added the third.

Boston needs secondary scoring for the playoffs and have been attached to a couple of players including Tyler Toffolli recently.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported on Saturday night that the Bruins are one in four teams pushing for Rangers forward Chris Kreider.

Friedman adds the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues and Pittsburgh Penguins as the other teams believed to be interested in the forward.

Kreider currently has 11 goals and 13 assists in 38 games for the Rangers.
