Boston Bruins' head coach Bruce Cassidy is pretty popular in the Boston area, especially after last year's Stanley Cup run.

One of his fans is a former Bruins' defenseman who's easily one of the most popular Bruins' players of the last couple decades.

During an interview last week with Kevin Paul Dupont of The Boston Globe, Bourque had high praise for Cassidy.

“I keep in touch with a couple of players, and I love the coach,” Borque said. I especially love how honest he is with guys, yeah critical, but he does it the right way, without throwing anyone under the bus. I still watch. I still support. I like what I see.”

The Bruins will try and stay undefeated to start the season as they head to Vegas to play the Golden Knights on Tuesday.
