The Boston Bruins dropped their only exhibition game last night as they lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Columbus opened up the scoring taking a 3-0 lead in the first period and never looked back.
While the good news was that David Pastrnak jumped into the lineup after being missing in action, the bad news was that Brad Marchand was forced to leave the game.
After the game Bruce Cassidy didn't believe it was anything super serious.
“He left. I don’t think it’s anything serious,” head coach Bruce Cassidy said, according to MassLive's Matt Vautour. “But we’ll have a better idea in the morning.”
On Friday morning, Cam Neely had basically no comments.
Neely said as of right now, there's no update.
This of course could mean one of two things, the injury isn't much and he was just taken out as a precautionary reason and hasn't seen doctors yet this morning.
Or that's he's seen a doctor and it's serious and the Bruins have decided to try and get a second opinion.
Cam Neely said there's no update on Brad Marchand.
