Charlie McAvoy will be a Boston Bruin for a very long time.

Bruins' general manager Don Sweeney announced that the team has signed McAvoy to an 8 year extension worth $76million.

It's the biggest contract in Bruins history and will see McAvoy carry an AAV of $9.5million.

The 23 year old is without the future of the B's blueline and registered 30 points in 50 games last year.

So far in his young career he's registered 122 points in 235 career games.
