The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney has locked up one of his defenseman on Monday.
Sweeney needs to sign Charlie McAvoy and Brandon Carlo but has decided to handle a smaller contract first.
According to Frank Seravalli of TSN, the Bruins have signed Connor Clifton to a three year contract worth $3million in total.
Clifton proved a valuable depth defenseman during the Bruins playoff push as they dealt with injuries.
