The Boston Bruins are enjoying their bye week and some time away from the rink and the same goes for Anders Bjork.
The rookie forward was reassigned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League just over a week ago, but he is going to get his week off too. According to Mark Divver of The Providence Journal, P-Bruins head coach Jay Roach is giving Bjork four days off and said that he has earned the time away.
Providence is off until Friday so Bjork should be rested when they play three games in three days against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Springfield Thunderbirds.
Bjork is off to a good start with the P-Bruins as he as two goals and four points in his first three AHL games. He had four goals and 12 points in his 28 NHL games for the Boston Bruins before being sent down.
Anders Bjork taking four-day break for Boston's bye week. He's earned it, says Jay Leach. Will rejoin P-Bruins on Friday
