The Boston Bruins victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins proved to be a costly as they will be without forward Peter Chelarik for at least the remainder of the calendar year.
Chelarik took a nasty leg-on-leg hit from Penguins defenseman Matt Hunwick and did not return to the game.
The team announced just before the Bruins took ice versus the Edmonton Oilers that Chehlarik will be out with a lower-body injury and will not be re-evaluated for four weeks.

Joe MacDonald of the Boston Sports Journal reported that Chelarik left the building on crutches while wearing a brace on Sunday. That is not a good sign.
