The Boston Bruins didn't start the month of November off exactly on the right foot.

Ravished by injuries, between November 5th and 15th, the team lost five out of the seven games it played, including four in a row.

The news didn't get any better when the team announced that both Brad Marchand and Anders Bjork would not be joining the team for it's west coast road trip.

Luckily for the team, they started to regroup and find themselves on the road trip, especially on the defensive side. The team is on a two game winning streak after beating both the San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings at the end of that road trip thanks to that defensive play and some great goaltending by Anton Khudobin.

With the team back in Boston on Monday, the team held an optional skate and head coach Bruce Cassidy had some great news to announce after practice.

To start, David Backes was skating during the optional with a non-contact jersey!

The even better news?

Cassidy said that forward Brad Marchand looks like he's recovered from his concussion and will practice with the team on Tuesday.
