While the Boston Bruins did receive some good news on Monday morning as injured forward David Krejci skated with his teammates in a no-contact jersey, the team is still hurting and looking for a boost.
The team is 3-3-4 in their last 10 games, and with the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens on fire lately, the B's need to get it together or they could find themselves out of the playoffs sooner than later.
The B's will get a boost when Krejci is back and when is Brad Marchand is back to 100%, but they might need even more than that.
Jimmy Murphy Tweeted out recently that the Bruins and Vegas Golden Knights have had some trade talks recently and a deal could come together.
At first glance, it would make perfect sense for the Bruins to bring back defenseman Colin Miller to complete the left side of the defense. He could probably be had for cheap and Vegas continues to look to dump defenseman.
However, the team might look at players who could help create offense.
With Sweeney more of a fan of picking up rentals than contracts, David Perron, James Neal and Jonathan Marchessault could all be options seeing that they're UFA at the end of the season.
Who would you like to see Sweeney grab from the Vegas roster?
My latest @TheGardenReport On Ice for @CLNSMedia: Have we really seen #NHLBruins true identity yet & can we w/all the injuries? Also, could GM Don Sweeney make move soon? Sources tell me B's & #GoldenKnights have had talks. #NHLDucks looking to deal too.... https://t.co/SK91ia2TOk— Jimmy Murphy (@MurphysLaw74) November 12, 2017
