Earlier today Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters that Noel Acciari is close to returning from his broken finger.  In fact, he revealed that Acciari is considered to be a game time decision Friday night when the Bruins take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Cassidy and the Bruins must feel pretty confident that Acciari will be in the lineup tomorrow as they reassigned Austin Czarnik to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League late this afternoon.

The 24-year-old forward has one assist in his six games at the NHL level this season.  Even with his extended absence from the team, he still leads all Providence players in scoring with four goals and 10 points in just five AHL games this season.

Acciari has been out of action since he broke his finger on opening night versus the Nashville Predators.  He has skated just a total of nine shifts on the year.

Are you disappointed to see Austin Czarnik heading back to the Providence Bruins?
