Regardless of how this series with the Ottawa Senators ends, the Boston Bruins have to commended for how they have played on the back end as they have been without three of their top for defensemen for nearly the entire series!

Even with the injuries to Brandon Carlo, Torey Krug and Colin Miller, Tuukka Rask and the Bruins have only given up 10 goals through four games.  The problem has been up front as the offense has gone ice cold after a three goal explosion in the second period of Game 3.

To make matters worse, winger Frank Vatrano was spotted leaving the TD Garden in a walking boot Wednesday night, according to Ty Anderson of WEEI.

The Bruins held an optional skate on Thursday, which Vatrano did not take part in.  Interim head coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters today that Vatrano should be “OK” for Friday night’s Game 5 back in Ottawa.

Vatrano has an assist, six shots on goal and has a 51.9 Corsi For percentage so far in the series.
