With the playoffs around the corner, teams will start relying on their back up goalies less and less with crucial points on the board.
We saw Carey Price, Craig Anderson and Devan Dubnyk all start both games of back to backs this past weekend for their respective teams.
With big points on the board against divisional rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators tonight and tomorrow, from all accounts it looks like the Bruins will do the same with Tuukka Rask.
There's only 11 games to go on the calendar before the playoffs, and the B's would definitely like to build on their lead on the Leafs while cutting the Sens lead on them.
Rask is up for the challenge.
"Of course," Rask said Sunday "I think at this time of year you don't want to take time off . . . Every game matters and you have to be ready to play. We've got a big game in Toronto and try to take care of business there, and then we come back and play Ottawa and go day-by-day. That's the best approach you can take.
"[Toronto and Ottawa] are good challenges. In order to be one of those good teams, you have to beat the good teams.”
Win or lose tonight, do you agree Rask should play tomorrow?
