We can always rely on the KHL to provide us with some golden moments out on the ice.

In a game between the Capitals and the Flames Helsinki Jokerit and CSKA Moscow, Jokerit forward Tomi Maki was checked into the boards by CSKA winger Igor Makarov. It was a pretty solid body check up along the glass, but what took it over the top was the aftermath of the play.

Maki’s jersey got stuck between the two panes of plexiglass, pinning him to the boards and leaving him unable to free himself as he was left there dangling while play continued.

It took a crew of players, the officials and even the cameramen behind the glass to help free Maki from his ordeal.

Everyone involved was able to have a laugh at the expense of Maki, including Maki himself.
