The Boston Bruins will go toe to toe versus the New York Rangers for the first time this season. The Rangers have had a terrible start to the season, but have turned it around recently and have won four straight games.

The Bruins will be looking for their second win in a row, but will be without star forward Brad Marchand.

With David Backes, David Krejci and Brad Marchand out of the lineup, Bruins head coach has named defenseman Kevan Miller as the team's second alternate captain.

"It was a huge, huge honor for me," said Miller. "But I think there's a lot of guys in here without letters that are just as big of leaders. We can pride ourselves on that as a team that, whether you wear the letter or not, you have a responsibility to lead as a veteran guy."

Tuukka Rask will get the start and go up against Henrik Lundqvist for the Rangers.
